Jesus Or Money? Is Money Worth Going To Hell Over? Heaven Or Hell? Choose.
Do you Love Jesus? Do you Love the World? You can Love One or the Other. One not Both. It should not be a hard decision. Life is short. Money does not buy happiness. Heaven or Hell? Jesus or Money? Money is the biggest cause of unhappiness in Life. People Marry for it. They Divorce for it. Steal for it. Kill for it.
1st John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
Do you Love the World?
I believe Christians Do Not Love the World. But Most Christians are in Love with the things in the World. Christians like non Christians want to be Accepted. Popularity is like a Drug for people. The World Hates Christianity. So for Christians to be Accepted in the World they have to be like the World.
What things?
Money. Sex. Career. Sports. Attention. Movies, Television etc…
Early on in my Life. As a child and as a teenager. I Loved TV, Movies, Sports. I wanted Sex, a good Career.
NFL Football is on Sunday. That is not by accident. Satan knows that many Christians will be sitting in Church but their Heart is consumed with the football scores.
College Football is on Saturday. Sadly many sports obsessed men and women waste their Lives Worshiping Sports. Sports run 365 days a year. As a child I was caught up in this, Obsession. After I graduated High School I gave this up.
I have even been in Church and heard the Pastor say: “Today’s service will be short. We will sing one song and I have a 15 minute message. I know there is a big NFL game today.”
Yes, Pastor’s will cut the entire Service short because of the NFL. Maybe you have not seen this happen, but it does happen.
Worldly Pastor’s Love the things of the World more than God.
You may not be someone that is consumed with Sports.
Most Christians are consumed with Sex, their Career, and being Liked. Christians, we are not perfect. But typically there is something we let consume us. This thing interferes with our Christian Service our Walk with God.
Being overly consumed with our Spouse, our Children interferes with our walk with God. Spending Quality time with your Family is Essential and Biblical. We need to have the right balance though. There is no excuse for Neglecting our Christian Service.
Colossians 3:2 “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.”
It is too easy to let the cares of this life Overwhelm us.
We want to be Good godly Christians. (Hopefully most of us.) But we struggle with the things of the World.
Sex is the one thing I am confident one time or another has been a huge concern for every Christian.
Why?
Because both single men and single women want to be in a relationship with the opposite Sex. That Desire can easily become an Obsession.
Even having a relationship does not always satisfy everyone. Wanting someone Better, Consumes Countless people. Better: More Attractive. Wealthier. Different.
Unfortunately most married people will regret their marriage. They think they could have done better. This is one reason for the high rate of Divorce in Christian marriages.
It takes a lot of Determination to not be Worldly. To not be Consumed with Sex, Career, Having Fun.
Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
God tells us how to be Heavenly minded throughout the Bible, in Philippians 4:8.
Philippians 4:8 is telling us to read with understanding the Bible and to think on these things. What other than what is written in the Bible is: True, Honest, Just, Pure, Love, of Good Report, Virtue, Praise. Some of these things might exist in our lives outside of the Bible. Just be careful where your mind, your thoughts wander.
Jesus, promised Heaven to all who will Believe on Him.
John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
Here in John Chapter 14 Jesus realized his Disciples hearts were troubled.
Jesus told them that he was going to lay down his life for the Sins of the world. He said he was going die.
This was very troubling to hear. So, Jesus offered hope: “…believe in God, believe also in me.”
The Disciples were so troubled that Jesus had to tell them to Believe in God and to also Believe in him.
After 3 and a half years the Disciples should have just naturally Believed in Jesus. I think they did. But their minds were focused on the Negative. With the thoughts of Jesus dying and leaving them alone. They could not think straight.
This happens to us too. We know the Bible and how we should live. But because of circumstances in the World. We let ourselves loose sight of the Big picture and we become Worldly.
Becoming Worldly means to Neglect the things of God. To waste our time on Fleeting Pleasures. We should Keep our thoughts on the Heavenly. Pray often. Be an Evangelist, A Good Witness. And have a Good Christian Testimony.
Being Saved means you will go to Heaven when you Die.
Spending Eternity in Heaven with Jesus is suppose to motivate us to Live for Eternal rewards. Instead of living for the Temporary Pleasures the World has to offer.
Matthew 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
In Matthew Chapter 6. Jesus tells us how worthless it is to spend our lives building up Wealth on the Earth.
A Devout Christian will live a life in Service to Jesus. Doing this they will Earn Heavenly Treasures.
The bottom line is what you Treasure the most will be where your Heart is. This means if you Treasure the things of the World than that is where your Heart is.
Be the Christian that Treasures the things of God. A Christian that has a Heart for Jesus.

1 Corinthians 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
